Why There Is No Perfect Diet

Opening:

Have you ever heard somebody praise a certain diet, saying it’s the best diet money can buy, and that EVERYONE should be eating this same exact diet. It’s pretty common if you’re on social media, but this isn’t necessarily correct…

The Perfect Diet Cannot Exist:

Despite what you may have heard, the idea of a following a universal diet that works for everyone DOES NOT EXIST!

People that say otherwise don’t have a proper understanding of genetics, geographical location, or health status (or they’re trying to sell you something and aren’t being fully transparent).

There are simply far too many factors to think that everyone can do things the exact same way and feel the exact same way.

Genetics

The first factor to consider is genetics.

Genetics play a big role in how you’ll want to be eating. While somebody may thrive on one thing, another person may not. We must understand that the perfect diet is what works best for YOU!

Each and everyone of us has evolved in different ways from our ancestors. Each of our ancestors had their own way of eating, meaning we will all thrive on different things. Our DNA has evolved to thrive off certain foods because our ancestors have thrived on it for so long. For example, with European genetics may be more inclined to eat animal-based because it’s more prevalent in Europe due to geographical reasons.

This is why it’s important to try different foods and see what works for you.

Location

Another factor to consider is geographical location.

You cannot be a full-time vegan if you live in a climate that has extremely cold conditions. What will you eat when the ground is frozen for most of the year?

Now just because you live in a certain location does it mean you should eat a specific way? No, but the point is to illustrate that it’s illogical to expect that everyone can have the same diet when geographic circumstances significantly vary…

If There's No Perfect Diet, What Should We Eat?

While there’s no set way of doing things, I do firmly believe that there’s a fundamental understanding of diet and nutrition.

We should always focus on high-quality, whole-foods such as meat, eggs, fruits, vegetables, dairy, honey, fermented foods, etc. This is what I’d consider REAL food. Focusing your diet on this rather than processed junk will with ingredients that will cause all sorts of problems will do WONDERS for your health.

Focus on these foods, see what works for you, and watch what happens!
